The thread did not argue about the theology. It checked the sky. The member MonkeeSage ran the date in Stellarium and reported that "Regulus is setting on that day, not rising. It will already be well below the horizon long before dawn," and that the star sits "WNW from the Sphinx, not East where the Sphinx is facing." The member Trailblazer checked it independently against in-the-sky.org and reported that "from Giza, Regulus is not observable, it will reach its highest point in the sky during daytime and is no higher than 8 degrees above the horizon at dawn." The member Mendel made the structural point that finishes the argument: "this happens the exact same way each year, so there is absolutely nothing in this method that says '2026'." Easter Sunday 2026 came and went with no reported event of the kind described. That is a method-shown rebuttal of a dated, falsifiable claim, and this archive records it because a case retained as a network node stands or falls on the reliability of the node.
