The Milwaukee Daylight Tic Tac Video (28 September 2026)

Milwaukee, Wisconsin  ·  28 September 2026  ·  Eyewitness Footage · United States

The object enlarged from the original recording, located by background subtraction rather than by eye. It measures roughly seven by four pixels, an elongated bright oval about twice as wide as it is tall, against clean blue daylight sky. (Witness recording via u/Newphantomdude333, filed through ufosighting.report.)

A Milwaukee resident filmed a small white object over his back garden and filed it as an 11:45 PM sighting. The footage is bright daylight, so the filing’s stated time is wrong by twelve hours, and the automated satellite check attached to it was run against the wrong sky.

What did witnesses see at Milwaukee?

A Milwaukee resident filmed a small white object while digging in his back garden. The recording runs 48 seconds at 720 by 1280 and shows a compact bright shape against an otherwise empty blue sky, with a house gable, a roof edge and a red tarpaulin entering frame at the margins.

Located programmatically rather than by eye, by subtracting a Gaussian blurred background and taking connected components inside a blue dominant sky mask, the object measures about seven by four pixels, an elongated oval averaging roughly two to one in width against height. It is white to pale blue, brighter than the sky by a wide margin, and carries no resolvable structure at this scale.

The witness, posting as u/Newphantomdude333 and verified through a one time link from his own Reddit account, wrote that he looked up while doing manual work and saw "a small tictac shape ufo same one I saw some weeks ago", hovering with no wings, no sound and no lights. He said his phone died while recording, the object left and returned, and he recorded it a second time on a family member’s phone.

More footage and images of this sighting

The full frame the enlargement is taken from, showing the object as it appears at native scale against the daylight sky. The brightness of the sky is itself the evidence that the filing’s stated time of 11:45 PM is wrong.

What is the official explanation?

There is no official narrative. No agency has commented, and no local reporting has been found. The sighting exists as a structured filing on ufosighting.report, entry 13046, relayed to r/UFOs by the site’s reporting bot.

The filing records one object, oval, at "as high as a star", pea sized at arm’s length, with movement given as hovering, floating around, straight and steady, and abrupt changes in direction, observer facing northeast, duration five minutes, one witness, captured on an iPhone 11. The coordinates were randomized to within about five kilometres at the reporter’s request, so the position is approximate.

What did the witnesses think it was?

The filing states the time as 28 September 2026 at 11:45 PM CDT. That cannot be right, and the footage settles it.

The recording shows a bright blue sky in full daylight, with sunlit house siding and a sunlit roof in frame. Solar elevation for the filed coordinates was computed from JPL Horizons at both candidate times. At 11:45 PM CDT, which is 04:45 UTC on 29 September, the Sun sat 47.1 degrees below the horizon, deep in astronomical night. Twelve hours earlier, at 11:45 AM CDT on 28 September, the Sun stood 42.6 degrees above the horizon at an azimuth of about 159 degrees, high in the southern sky. The footage is unambiguously the second of those. The event took place late on the morning of 28 September 2026, and the filing’s stated time is wrong by twelve hours.

That correction disables the filing’s own automated check. The report carries a sky context block stating that no bright satellites were visible overhead, computed for 04:45 UTC. It was therefore run against the wrong sky, and in any case satellites are not visible against a daylight sky, so the satellite question never arose.

The thread was broadly sceptical and several readers argued the object is an aircraft. One noted that the claimed darting is not present in the footage, another that a wing shadow is visible when the object comes into focus. The witness also posted the clip to another subreddit and was accused of trolling, which he denied.

Is the Milwaukee Daylight Tic Tac Video (28 September 2026) real? The two-pass assessment

Pass one, how this could be mundane. A high altitude aircraft in daylight is the leading candidate and it accounts for the appearance well. At sufficient range an airliner fuselage catching sunlight presents as a small bright elongated blob with wings unresolved, which is the measured shape here, about two to one and only a few pixels across. The witness reported no sound, which is expected of high altitude traffic. Milwaukee sits under approach and departure traffic for General Mitchell International. The corrected late morning timing places the sighting in a busy part of the day for commercial aviation rather than in the middle of the night.

The archive tried to test the reported motion and could not. Tracking the object across 73 samples over 47 seconds gives a linear fit with residuals of 66 pixels in x and 132 pixels in y, an apparent area varying with a coefficient of variation of 65 percent, and an aspect ratio ranging from 0.31 to 6.00. Those numbers describe a handheld phone at digital zoom, not an object. They are a measurement of the camera. On this footage no motion claim is supportable in either direction, so the reported hovering and the reported abrupt changes of direction are equally unverifiable, and so is the counter claim that the object simply flew straight. This follows the same finding recorded for the Tehran footage of September 2026.

The witness’s account of the object departing and returning at great speed is his inference from having stopped recording when his phone died. Nothing in the surviving footage covers that interval.

Pass two, if the prosaic reading fails. What would be required is an object holding position for minutes at an altitude where it is inaudible, then accelerating out and back within the recording gap. The footage cannot demonstrate any of that, because the only interval it covers is one in which the camera itself is moving too much to measure anything.

The tier is Strongly Disputed rather than Discredited. This follows the Campo Largo and Spring Hill precedent: an honest reporter, genuine unmanipulated footage and a probable misidentification is not a hoax. The reporter filed through a structured form, verified his identity, answered the observables conservatively, marked sudden extreme acceleration as "unsure", and supplied the original media. The twelve hour time error is the kind of mistake a form invites, and correcting it is what the archive is for.
